So I went to a progressive rock / metal show yesterday...
… and there was one dude, this one dude, dressed like a wannabe ‘gangsta’, who kept pestering every women in the place. He eventually sat down beside my friend and started asking her very direct and inappropriate stuff, and even though she kept telling him to back off, he wouldn’t… he then put his hand on her hip and she gave him the death-glare meaning “get the fuck away from me man”, and yet he didn’t; he just kept approaching her more & more. I had to interfere & tell him to respect her & just leave her alone, but he, mr gangsta, is obviously too ‘manly’ to accept that. He said “You’re telling me to go away man? Who are you? What the fuck’s your problem? You’re fucked up, man”. Yeah okay. I’m just telling him to respect my friend, and he tells me I’m fucked up. Brilliant.
I’ve never been in any sort of bar fight, and I’m perfectly aware I have no physical strength whatsoever, but I wasn’t too worried to tell him to get the fuck away since we were surrounded with people who were looking our way and knew that he was being a douchebag. Luckily for me, he probably noticed, so I got to keep all my teeth. He just walked ‘away’, but still roamed around us for a good 20 minutes, probably as some sort of primitive and instinctive way to preserve his pride as the dominant male of his tribe.
… What’s a gangsta rapper doing trying to “pick up chicks” in a metal show, anyway?
(He also tried to flirt with my girlfriend while I was getting drinks at the bar, but she’s pretty direct and can be pretty scary when she wants to. Hahaha!)
Tonight, there's an incredible show @ Alizé bar in Montreal...
… and out of 2100 invited people on facebook, 50 confirmed they were coming. God I hate people. Whenever a decent band with an international reputation passes by, there’s always hundreds and even thousands of people attending their shows; but when it’s local bands with even more talent, nobody gives a shit. Why? What’s the matter? Not enough people like it? Liking something that’s not popular will affect your value as a person? 8$ is too much to see 3 great bands in a row, but 50$ is just fine for that one band that comes from the US or from another continent?
Jesus christ. It’s tough to be an artist.
… oh by the way, Opusculus is playing @ Alizé bar tonight in Montreal. If you’re in Montreal and like good music, you should go. They’re one of the best bands I’ve ever heard, and I’m not only saying that because their bassist is also my bassist. They actually are that good. If you can name me any other band out there who’ve written a 60 minutes long track that kicks ass from B to Z, I’ll give you a medal.
Tumblr keeps suggesting I should follow fashion blogs...
… c’mon Tumblr. I basically dress like a (clean) bum, I wear the same pair of jeans every single day, I try my best not to give a shit about how people look because I believe this shouldn’t be what’s important. What’s up with that?
4 stars, unfortunately. I always expect perfection from first party Nintendo games, and this game is not perfect. It IS very good, but there are numerous graphic bugs, the controls are lousy and sometimes unresponsive, there are way too many puzzles to get rupees-chests that don’t fit in your too-small and useless wallet, and the twilight princess doesn’t look anything like the other citizens of her world. My words make it sound like I hated the game, but no, everything else about it is great.
Time for Skyward Sword… once I get the necessary rupees to buy it. Damn, where are those chests when you need them?
